Are colored contact lenses safe for daily wear?

Yes—when used correctly, colored contact lenses can be safe for daily wear. Choose FDA & CE approved lenses, follow the recommended replacement cycle, keep lenses clean, and do not sleep in lenses unless specifically approved.

Do I need a prescription for colored contacts?

Prescription requirements vary by region and product type. Moodylenses offers both prescription and non-prescription options. If you need vision correction, choose lenses that match your prescription and consult your eye care professional.

How do I choose the best color for my eyes?

For subtle daily looks, choose shades close to your natural eye color (such as brown or soft gray). For stronger contrast, try blue, green, or deeper gray tones. You can also choose by effect: natural, enlarging, or bold transformation.

Does Moodylenses provide lenses for astigmatism?

No, Moodylenses does not currently provide lenses for astigmatism. Please check your prescription before purchasing.

Do Moodylenses lenses come in prescription options?

Yes. Moodylenses lenses are available in both prescription and non-prescription options. Please check our prescription verification page and consult your eye doctor before purchasing.

Why does the actual look differ from website photos?

The wearing effect can vary based on your original eye color, iris pattern, lighting, camera filters, and eye shape. For reference, most Moodylenses model photos are shot on dark brown eyes under studio lighting.

How do I order if my two eyes have different prescriptions?

Please add two boxes with different diopters to match each eye’s prescription.

Wear & Care

What should I do before wearing contact lenses?

Before handling lenses, make sure your hands are clean and dry. For non-daily disposable lenses, soak lenses in multi-purpose solution for at least 8 hours before first use. Rub and rinse lenses before and after each use. Before insertion, check lens shape to ensure it is not inside out.

Why is my vision blurry when wearing contact lenses?

There are two common reasons:

  1. 1) The diopter or base curve may not match your prescription. 2) The lens may be inside out, which can cause discomfort and unstable vision when blinking.
